Principle · Finance, Trading, SystemsRisk must be understood before rewardI want to know how a position can lose money before I take seriously how it might make money.
Principle · SystemsThink independently, remain open to correctionI study people who have built serious things, and I still want the reason behind an idea before I keep it.
Book · SystemsAtomic HabitsJames Clear. I keep this for the argument that a repeated condition does more than a mood: cues, environment, and the behaviours a person actually repeats.
Book · Business, EntrepreneurshipZero to OnePeter Thiel with Blake Masters. I keep this for one distinction: copying a product that already exists, or making something that is actually new.
Book · Entrepreneurship, SoftwareThe Lean StartupEric Ries. I keep this for the habit of holding a product idea as a hypothesis, and of letting someone's behaviour answer it.

Influence · SystemsElon MuskI follow his work because he treats a hard problem as a set of real constraints, not as a category someone else already named. The part I want is that habit: ask what the engineering actually allows, then iterate instead of defending the first design.
Influence · Software, BusinessSteve JobsI follow the products more than the mythology. What I want from that work is taste: what to leave out, how design and engineering are one decision, and how the whole experience has to hold together for the person using it.
Influence · Finance, TradingP. R. SundarI follow his public options work because he talks about a position as something you construct and then adjust, not as a guess about direction. That is the question I care about: how the structure behaves when the market does not cooperate, and how risk is handled before the reward is discussed.

Tool · AIKimiMoonshot's Kimi. I use it when the material is long and I want another read of the same source.
